Celebrating Meaningful Philanthropy: One Organization's Story

Celebrating Meaningful Philanthropy
One Organization’s Story of a Historical, Transformational, and Meaningful Contribution

With great enthusiasm, Advancement Resources is pleased to share this inspiring news released by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

On January 11, 2018, the CAMH Foundation announced a transformational $100 million contribution. The investment creates the Discovery Fund—a fund that supports the development of the next generation of researchers as they explore the causes of and treatments for mental illness. This is the largest contribution ever given to a mental health facility in Canada and truly demonstrates meaningful philanthropy.

In order to create opportunities for transformational giving, it is important to connect donor passions with organizational priorities. The partnership between CAMH and this anonymous donor is an example of the power of philanthropy to drive cutting-edge research and innovative thinking, creating an immeasurable impact on the future of mental health in Canada.

Advancement Resources is honored to partner with the CAMH Foundation as they engage clinicians across the organization in referral-based medical philanthropy.
