Utilizing their own funding priorities, participants begin crafting Vision Stories that compel deep and lasting commitment from donors.

Optimizing Donor Meetings

Applying the 5-step donor meeting process, deans and academic leaders and their development partners discuss how to optimize donor visits and work together most productively.

Building a Development Culture

Participants examine how different roles, including faculty and volunteers, contribute to a robust culture of philanthropy within the organization.

Articulating Your Compelling Vision Story

Analyzing different delivery styles, participants explore how to present compelling Vision Stories to different situations and audiences.

Securing Financial Commitment

Participants discover concepts that turn “asks” into gains and strengthen donors’ emotional commitment and financial support. Participants practice making the “ask” while considering a donor or potential donor.

Creating Meaningful Return on Philanthropic Investment

Participants learn how to create Return on Philanthropic Investment (ROPI) that ensures donors feel appreciated and valued, setting the stage for deeper donor commitment and greater philanthropic support.

The workshop begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends around 5:00 p.m.

A continental breakfast (beginning at 7:30 a.m.) and lunch, as well as all workshop materials, are included in the workshop investment. The evening is free for donor visits or other business or personal matters.

Transportation

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located 10 miles from the hotel. From the airport, you can easily grab a taxi, the MARTA train line or utilize a ride-sharing app.

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)– The hotel is directly connected to the Atlanta airport via the MARTA train line. Take any Northbound train to Peachtree Center Transit Station (located at Peachtree St. & Forsyth St.). Exit the MARTA Station and follow directional signs to the hotel through Peachtree Center Mall. Parking

Parking is available at Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Prevailing parking rate will apply. Currently, overnight valet parking is $40 with “in and out” privileges. Overnight self-parking is not available on-site.
